how to use this site

watch our Brand Center Tutorial to learn
how to get the most out of this site.

Rationale: why we need this site

Instead of storing brand assets on hard drives, which leads to old assets remaining in circulation after they have been officially retired, we will now use the brand center and its associated asset library as shared storage for everyone. This means that everyone who needs it will have access to the most up-to-date assets, all in one place, along with the latest instructions (guidelines) for their use.

site features

On this website you can:

  1. Review Guidelines for the correct use of The Wills Group, Dash In and Splash In brand assets

  2. Download Assets including logos, fonts, collateral and photography

  3. When the asset you need does not already exist, you can request a new asset be created for you, using the Asset Request Form. This is especially useful for larger, more complex creative projects and “one off” requests for brand assets that have never been created before.

Best practice for sharing assets:

When “sharing” assets in the future, it’s essential that we share “links” back to the library, and not email attachments, to ensure that people always have the right, most up-to-date asset. In the future, brand assets should only be held on hard drives for short term use, with the brand center being the “authority” on long-term storage of brand asset and brand guidelines, in order to ensure consistency across the organization.

tips & tricks

TO SUBMIT NEW ASSETS OR PHOTOGRAPHS TO THE BRAND CENTER, CONTACT MREEVES@WILLSGROUP.COM FOR REQUIRED FORMS, INCLUDING MODEL RELEASES.

MODEL RELEASES

A fully executed model release shall be supplied to The Wills Group with all photographs and images, regardless of whether such photographs or images are delivered electronically or in hard copy. Such model release shall certify that The Wills Group is granted a non-exclusive, paid-up, irrevocable, worldwide license to publish such photographs in any medium or reproduce such photographs or allow others to do so for our brand purposes. Model releases are required in all situations in which a reasonable person would respond in the affirmative to the question: Could someone, other than the model himself/herself, recognize the person in this photograph or image?

SEARCH TIPS for the asset library

[and operator] To locate results containing multiple search terms, simply enter the word or enter words separated by AND. (In either case, the words may be found in any order and when searching across all fields, may not be present in the same field):
car wash
car and wash

[or operator] To locate results containing any of your search terms, use the OR operator:
hot or dog

[negative operator] To exclude a word from the search results, add a minus sign in front of the word:
hot -dog

PHRASES

To find a phrase, use quotes around the words (all words must be found together and in order)
"hot dog"

PARTIAL MATCH

When entering search terms, the whole word is required and partial word matches are not automatically found (for example, searching the word 'tree' would not return results with the word 'trees'). To find a partial word match, you must add an asterisk to the word. Asterisks may only be used to conclude a word:
hot*

SEARCHING BY FILENAMES

Filenames are treated differently than other fields. When searching for a filename across all fields, you may either enter the whole filename including the extension or the filename without the extension to locate the file. However, when searching within the filename field, the exact filename is not required and partial word matches are also returned in the results.

KEYWORD LIST

When selecting multiple terms from the keyword list, an OR operator is implied. For instance, selecting the keywords tree, apple, and dog will return results that include ANY of these terms.
